NRA Instructor Classes

If you are an experienced shooter, interested in helping teach new shooters, you might want to consider becoming an NRA Certified Instructor.

The NRA is looking for new instructors who enjoy working with people and would like to share their firearms knowledge and skills with others.

As an instructor, you can experience the personal satisfaction of teaching others the basic knowledge, skills and attitudes for safe and enjoyable participation in firearm and shooting activities.

Only candidates that have demonstrated that they are fully qualified to teach the apropriate NRA basic course will be recommended for certification.

In Colorado and many other States, being an NRA Certified Instructor gives you the credential to provide law abiding citizens the required training to obtain their concealed carry permits.

NRA Basic Instructor Training

Cost: $250
Class Length: 6 Hours
Prerequisites: Approval by Director of Training

In addition to the Basic NRA Instructor Training Course you will be required to take an instructor course listed below in the area(s) of specialization you wish to teach.

NRA Home Firearm Safety Instructor

Class Length: 5 Hours
Prerequisites: Basic Instructor Training

NRA Basic Pistol Instructor

Cost: $200
Class Length: 11 Hours
Prerequisites: Basic Instructor Training

NRA Basic Rifle Instructor

Cost: $200
Class Length: 14 Hours.
Prerequisites: Basic Instructor Training

NRA Basic Shotgun Instructor

Cost: $200
Class Length: 11 Hours
Prerequisites: Basic Instructor Training

NRA Personal Protection In The Home Instructor

Cost: $200
Class Length: 9 Hours
Prerequisites: Basic Pistol Instructor

NRA Personal Protection Outside The Home Instructor

Cost: $300
Class Length: 16 Hours
Prerequisites: Basic Pistol Instructor and Personal Protection In The Home Instructor and Personal Protection Outside the Home Student Course.
